🌦️ Planter Box Care & Use

Our planter boxes are decorative accessories and are coated with two coats of Spar Urethane to help make them weather resistant — but they are NOT weatherproof.

For the longest life of your planter:

• Keep it indoors or in a dry, covered porch area.

• Do not fill the wooden planter box directly with dirt or soil.

• Place a potted plant inside the box.

• Remove the plant to water it, allow excess water to drain, and then return it to the planter.

• Do not place the planter directly in landscaping, grass, or other areas where it will be continuously exposed to moisture.

• Avoid prolonged exposure to rain, snow, standing water, and other harsh weather conditions.

Proper care will help you enjoy your Goldendoodle for years to come.

Our pet planter boxes are a seasonal, limited-stock item. Because of the painting and finishing process, we can only paint them when temperatures are consistently above 60°F.

If you see the breed and style you want available, we recommend ordering while it's in stock!

Frequently Asked Questions

Can more than one planter box fit in a box so I can save on shipping?

Often, yes! Depending on the size and shape of the designs you choose, we can sometimes fit up to two planter boxes in one of our larger shipping boxes.

There may be a small additional charge because of the larger box and increased shipping weight, but it will often cost considerably less than shipping each planter separately.

If you're interested in purchasing more than one planter, contact us at (815) 955-7004 before ordering. Let us know which designs you're interested in and we can determine whether they can safely ship together and give you a more accurate shipping cost.

Why does it cost so much to ship the planters?

Pet planter boxes are large, dimensional pieces and require considerably more packaging than a typical Fairy Forged item.

Shipping costs include more than postage. Depending on the size, our shipping boxes alone can cost approximately $3–$10 each. Larger boxes also cost more to ship and usually have a higher dimensional or actual shipping weight.

Each planter must also be carefully wrapped with bubble wrap and other protective packing materials to help protect the individual pieces during transit. Because these are handmade items, we take extra time to package each planter as securely as possible before it leaves our workshop.

I don't see my pet's breed. Can you make one to match my pet?

Probably! We have a huge and continually growing collection of pet designs, and we're always adding new breeds and improving existing ones.

Since every item is handmade, new designs don't always make it onto the website as quickly as we'd like. So if you don't see your breed, please ask!

We can also create custom designs and paint pieces to more closely resemble your pet. Customization is available on many of our planter boxes, ornaments, and eyeglass holders.

Send us a few clear photos of your pet and we can let you know what's possible and provide a quote for any additional custom work.

Depending on the design, we may also be able to add details such as:

• Realistic-style eyes

• Button-style eyes

I see a planter design I like, but I want it in a different color. Can you change the color to match my pet?

Absolutely!

We can adjust the paint colors on many of our planter designs to more closely resemble your pet. Send us photos and we'll match the colors as closely as possible using the paints we have available.

If you're unsure about a color, we're also happy to send you paint color options upon request.

Can I add my dog's name?

Yes! A personalized dog tag can be added to your planter box with your dog's name, turning an already adorable Goldendoodle into a piece that's uniquely yours.
